FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College women's volleyball team dominated the competition at their first home game of the 2018 season. Against Clark Atlanta University, Emmanuel put the panthers down in three sets with final scores of 25-14, 25-9, 25-20.
Junior Jessica Gray led the team with 9 kills and her highest hitting percentage of the season at .421. Sophomore Jenna Woodruff followed behind on the offense with 6 kills, while Senior Julie de Blanck tallied 5 blocks. Junior Stephanie Hardy finished the night with 23 assists.
The Lions had a fairly smooth ride to the victory, aside from the third set when Clark Atlanta challenged Emmanuel with a back and forth side out game. In the end, freshman Kaitlyn Henderson drove Emmanuel towards the finish with five consecutive serves, including 1 ace.
The ladies will step back on the court tomorrow at 3:00pm when they take on Anderson University at home.
