Home to a National Champion Title - WCWA National Tournament Results - Day 2

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College Women's Wrestling team is now home to a WCWA National Champion Title.

Cody Pfau earned the first title for Emmanuel by winning 14-4 over fellow teammate Maria Vidales in the 109 weight class final round.

This title is the third for Pfau, as she earned the other two as a student at Oklahoma City University. She will also be leaving the tournament as a four-time All-American.

Other final scores from the tournament include Vidales in second place behind Pfau in the 109 weight class.

In the 101 weight class, Iesha Washington represented Emmanuel in fifth place, and Ali Encinas came in fourth place in the 116 weight class.

Third place went to both Abby Nette in the 123 weight class and Kayla Marano in the 143 weight class.

All six wrestlers were named All-Americans and the team came in fourth place out of the 32 teams that competed in Oklahoma City.

The Lady Lions will now travel back home to prepare for their next tournament on Feb. 28 in New York, N.Y.
