Sandy Campbell

Sandy joins the Staff /Faculty as a Head Athletic Trainer and Instructor in the Kinesiology Department.  She has worked in the Sports Medicine Profession for 15+ years with experience in the Division I & II  collegiate setting, clinical sports Medicine/physical therapy setting, high school (3A &4A) setting and development and implemented a comprehensive wellness program for Elbert Memorial Hospital (Elberton, G.A.).  Her passion lies in the clinical assessment of athletic injuries, and  managing therapeutic and rehabilitation programs.  She also has a passion for development and growth of new programs.

Sandy is married to Dr. Eddie Campbell DMD,FAGD  and has two daughters Taylor and Maggie. They have been married 19 years and live in Elberton, G.A.

Sandy has a B.A. degree from Catawba College in Health/P.E. (1987).  She also was one of the first students to enter the Sports Medicine Studies at Catawba receiving a minor in athletic training.  She received a M.A. form Furman University (1990) where she was a Graduate Assistant in the sports medicine program and again, was one of the beginning graduate students entering their Exercise Science Studies.   Sandy enjoys spending time with her family and is a “fitness enthusiast” .
