ALBANY, Ga – The Emmanuel college men's golf team travelled down to South Georgia to compete in the 2019 Hurricane Invitational hosted by Georgia Southwestern.
The Lions shot 935 (71 over par) to finished in 11th place out of the 13 teams competing in their first tournament of the Spring semester. South Arkansas University took home the title with a total score of 868 (4 over par).
The Lions were led by Senior Erik Sundstrom and Sophomore Logan Reese, who tied for 25th out of the 75 players participating. Sundstrom shot rounds of 73-74-77 to finish at 8 over par, while Reese shot rounds of 76-72-76 to also finish at 8 over par. Emilio Fanjul brought in the third score for the team, finishing tied for 54thplace at 20 over par. Additionally, Chase Martin and Chris Stowe finished 65th and 66th, finishing at 39 and 40 over par.
Next up, the Lions will travel down to Tampa, Florida on March 3rd to compete in the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff.
