Men's Volleyball Falls to Conference Foe Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The Emmanuel College Men's Volleyball Team took on the University of Mount Olive for Friday night's match. After a recent win against conference foe Limestone, the Lions fell short to the Trojans to bring their conference record to 1-1.

Sets one and two were all Mount Olive as the Lions struggled to keep up. The third set looked to be another blowout with the Trojans going on an early 7 point run, but the Lions would go on to tie up the match at 19-19, and eventually take their biggest lead of the night at 21-19. Unfortunately that wasn't enough for the Lions as the Trojans came back with 4 more kills in addition to Emmanuels two errors to take the final set and win the match 25-15, 25-16, 25-23.

The Lions struggled offensively with 22 attacking errors on the night. While they improved their service errors drastically for this match, they still had three more than the Trojans, digging themselves into a hole they couldn't get out of.

The next game for the Lions will be today at 2:00pm when they take on Conference Foe Barton College.
