HARTWELL, Ga - After round 1 of the 2019 Conference Carolina's Women's Golf Championship, Limestone leads with a score of 11 over par 299.
The Saints were led by Pilar Martinez, whose even par round of 72 included 5 birdies and tied for the low round of the day. Converse College's Tyler Dawson also shot a 72, carding 3 birdies for the round.
Converse holds the second place spot with a score of 27 over par 315. Rounding out the top three is Erskine College at 31 over par 319.
Barton College and Belmont Abbey both sit at 32 over par 320 to tie for fourth place.
Mount Olive sits in sixth place with a score of 35 over par 323, North Greenville sits in seventh at 42 over par 330, and King University sits in 8th place at 47 over par 335. Rounding out the top ten are Emmanuel College in 9th place with a score of 337, followed by Southern Wesleyan University in tenth with a score of 338.
Freshman Aleah Hylton currently leads the Lions with a score of 81.
The ladies played in ideal conditions, the rain holding off and the temperature a comfortable 75 with overcast skies.
