Clair Wach Named Head Coach of Women's Lacrosse Team

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. - Athletic Director Nate Moorman announces the hiring of Claire Wach for the Women's Lacrosse Head Coach position.

Wach is a Raleigh, NC native who graduated from Lenoir Rhyne University with a bachelors degree in Exercise Science and a minor in psychology. While attending Lenoir Rhyne, Clair developed an impressive lacrosse resume. As captain of the Bears, Wach was twice named to the Division II Lacrosse ALL-SAC First Team and Championship All-Tournament Team. In addition, she was named to the Division II All-Freshman Team.

Prior to taking the Head Coach position at Emmanuel, Wach was the assistant coach for the Tusculum College Women's Lacrosse Team. Her experience with the Pioneers has given her coaching experience at the NCAA Division II level, so she will have a smooth transition into her new role.

Wach is currently pursuing her Masters in HRD and Talent Development. When she is not coaching or studying, she enjoys sporting activities and spending time with others.

In her new role at Emmanuel, Wach is eager to get to know the ladies on the team, their strengths and weaknesses, and working together to get ready for the season that is fast approaching. Wach had the following to say, "I am happy to be apart of the Emmanuel College Athletic Department and can't wait to help the girls spiritually, mentally, and physically so that they can excel in school, on the field, and further on into their careers."

Coach Wach's official start will be on Monday, December 18th. The ladies will kick off their season on February 3rd, 2018 with a home game against Point University.
