Women’s Soccer adds six players on National Signing Day 2015

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga.---The Emmanuel College women's soccer program added six players on National Signing Day 2015.

Players from Georgia, Tennessee, and Alberta, Canada all highlight this recruiting class.

"With our continued progress into the NCAA D II level of play, we have a specific type student-athlete we are looking to add to our program here at EC," said Head Coach Forrest Wimberly. "This class is NCAA D II ready and we'll look for some immediate impact on the soccer field this coming fall from this group of talented players joining our program."

Kayla Brown, Jefferson, Ga. (Jefferson HS/Oconee FC)

Meaghan McCarthy, Loganville, Ga (Loganville HS/ Oconee FC)

Alicia Phillips, Chuckey, Tenn. (Chuckey-Doak HS)

Kira Robak, Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada (Grande Prairie Composite HS/Edmonton Juventus)

Hannah Welch, Athens, Ga. (Clark Central HS/Barrow Galaxy)

"We'll put the finishing touches on this recruiting class over the next few weeks and then be ready to focus on the upcoming spring scrimmages and summer camps," finished Wimberly.

The Lions return to the field this spring with a February 28 scrimmage at Alabama State in Montgomery, Ala.
