Kayla brown had a chance to convert when a misplaced back-pass from Anderson found her feet, but her direct shot was able to be cleared by the Anderson goal keeper.
Emmanuel had another chance before the half when the ball was taken down the wing by Freshman Forward Kayla Brown whose driven cross found the feet of Emma Tamblyn, her shot swinging up over the cross bar. The Trojans got the jump of the Lions again in the second half, able to convert in the 62nd minute after Mariana Poveda's low driven shot beat EC goalkeeper Marina Eisenhut. Coach Wimberly had this to say of the loss: "We created some good looks at the goal today but were unable to finish these chances.
