KANSAS CITY---The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) along with the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) have named Emma Tamblyn to their All-American second team for the 2015 season.
The senior midfielder from Kempsey, Australia is the first Lion in the 14-year history of the EC women's soccer program to earn first or second team All-American honors.
Tamblyn scored three goals in 2015 including the game-winning goal over North Greenville in a 1-0 September match. Tamblyn made 72 career appearances during her career for the Lions and was voted the team MVP in 2015 by her teammates.
"This is a huge honor for Emma earning this historic All-American award," said head coach Forrest Wimberly. "There were some very talented players on the list of nominees and Emma's steady, high-quality play really stood out to the voting panel. I am very proud of Emma and think this puts a huge exclamation point at the end of her college soccer career."
Emma will be honored at the NSCAA/NCCAA All-American luncheon on January 16 in Baltimore, Maryland.
