Lady Lions Shut Out Shorter, 2-0.

ROME, Ga - The Emmanuel College women's soccer team traveled to Rome, Georgia to compete in their second game of the 2019 season. The Lady Lions defeated the Shorter University Hawks 2-0 to win the second of their four game away stretch.
 
The Lions dominated the first half with 8 shots compared to the Hawks 1. Despite several attempts early on, the Lions were unable to score as the first 45 minutes of play ticked away. In the second half, Hannah Logue began to turn up the heat, scoring first in the 52nd minute, then following up 17 minutes later with another goal. The Lions allowed Shorter only 1 shot in the second half, allowing them to coast to a 2-0 victory.
 
Emmanuel took 14 shots throughout the course of the evening, with 5 of them being on goal. Goalie Hannah Welch tallied one save. 
 
This victory moves the women's soccer team to 2-0 heading into their third straight away game against King University on September 14th.
